Showcasing Our 3D Printing Technology to Inspire Today’s Youth!
On Monday, June 18th, 2015, KYOCERA Intelligence (OSIS) brought 2 volunteers and 15 children into our office to view our 3D printing technology – helping them understand the impact technology has on business and everyday life while inspiring today’s youth to reach their full potential in a safe, enjoyable learning environment.
OSIS: Helping Youth Get Enthusiastic About Technology!
Joseph DiCara, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at OSIS, offered some insight, “Having young people come to our office, I believe, was a first thanks to the Boys and Girls Club of Harford County. The young people were engaged and enthusiastic! I was amazed at how many great questions they asked.”
He continued, “Their questions showed that they know a little something about 3D printing but never looked into it as a career until their visit. Seeing the 3D systems 3500 HD MAX in action and the parts it can make, opened them up to a whole new level of 3D!”
About the Boys and Girls Club of Harford County
The Boys and Girls of Harford County provides a range of services to youth members who, throughout every community, are left to find their own companionship and recreational activities after school, often leading to participation in unhealthy activities. The services offered are designed to combat this through:
- A safe, enjoyable place to learn and grow
- Ongoing relationships with caring professionals
- Character development programs and experiences
On behalf of our entire team, we truly enjoyed the opportunity to show young people the ins and outs of 3D printing – helping them get inspired and enthusiastic about technology.
