Keith Marchiano, regional Vice President of I.T. for KYOCERA Intelligence, is very active in his church and community, particularly as a member of Father Maurice J. Wolfe Council of the Knights of Columbus in Abingdon, Maryland and Harford County. Over his last nine years as a member, he has served in many leadership roles, even holding the highest elected office of his council as the Grand Knight overseeing the 280 members of his council from 2012-2014. He currently serves as president of the council’s charity corporation.
On Saturday, July 16th, the council held its annual installation of officers and dinner, at which Keith and his wife Beth were presented the Roy Franta Award, recognizing their lifetime of volunteerism within the council and their induction into the council’s “Hall of Fame”.
“I’m completely blown away!” Marchiano stated. “Beth and I have always supported our Church and our Knights’ council. All done in serving God. To receive the Roy Franta award truly overwhelms me. I’m humbled and grateful to be recognized and to have received this.”
During his time on the council, Marchiano has initiated and led several fundraising efforts to support many charities in his community. During his time as Grand Knight of the Father Wolfe Council, the council was awarded “Best Council in the State of Maryland”.
